• East Midlands Wushu Association (E.M.W.A. ) Rules & Code of Conduct

  • The Sifu’s or Certified E.M.W.A. Instructors command must be observed at all times.

  • There will be no swearing or aggressive behavior in the premises or any other unseemly behaviour.

  • No pupil will join or leave the class while the session is in progress without the E.M.W.A. certified Instructors permission.

  • Instruction will only take place under the supervision of a registered E.M.W.A. coach.

  • No member will abuse or misuse their knowledge of the Martial Arts.

  • E.M.W.A. Grading will be held under the certified E.M.W.A.  Instructor.

  • Dan Grading will be held under the supervision of the E.M.W.A.  leader or his officiated delegate.

  • All fees must be paid on time – no credit will be given

  • No pupil will take part in any competition without the E.M.W.A. certified Instructors written permission.

  • If a member suffers injury prior to a session this must be reported to the Instructor. Injuries received during the session must be reported immediately to the Coach in charge and no training will be undertaken against medical approval.

  • The Association will terminate the membership of any person they believe unsuitable for Martial Arts training.

  • All members should hold a current E.M.W.A.  licence and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the E.M.W.A..

  • The Club will not be held responsible for any losses personal, articles or otherwise.

  • All members understand and accept that participation in Martial Arts training may involve a risk of injury.

  • Any Student who is reported to have misused their knowledge may be suspended or expelled from the Club at the E.M.W.A.  Instructors discretion.

  • Any Student causing injury during a Grading, serious enough to prevent their partner/opponent from completing their Grading, will be deemed to have not shown proper control and will fail their own Grading.

  • Any Student/Instructor found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst attending a class will have their licence rescinded.

  • Any student showing behavior that will bring disrepute to themselves or E.M.W.A. will be barred from the E.M.W.A.

  • Showing disrespect of any kind will result in loss of membership.

  • Violation of any of these rules renders a member liable for expulsion from the association, with no warning.
